BREAKING: House Republicans Officially Announce Lawsuit Against Obama

House Republicans have been on the offensive over the last few months, emboldened by the bombshell scandals that have pummeled the Obama administration.

Rep. Trey Gowdy has been a figurehead in the movement to nail corrupt liberals behind some of the heinous acts being committed by the government, dedicated to leaving no stone unturned when it comes to the IRS targeting scandal or the Benghazi cover up.

Along with these investigations, the House has also put in motion a bill that will cut the IRS budget, preventing them from having financial resources to continue targeting conservative groups. The cuts also help slow the implementation of Obamacare.

Aside from the scandals, Obama has made a habit of ignoring Congress and using executive orders to push his agenda, something that isn’t sitting well with House Republicans, and it looks like they’re about to take serious steps to correct the problem.

Speaker of the House John Boehner officially announced that he will be filing a lawsuit against the president in an attempt to make him start enforcing the nation’s laws.

via Fox News:

House Speaker John Boehner announced Wednesday he plans to file suit against President Obama over his alleged abuse of executive power.

“This is not about impeachment — it’s about him faithfully executing the laws of this country,” Boehner said.

The speaker alleged that the president not only has ignored the law but “brags about it,” decrying what he described as “arrogance and incompetence.”

The decision to sue still would have to be formally approved by a group of House leaders. Presuming that step is cleared, the suit is expected to be filed in a few weeks.

The plaintiff would be the House of Representatives.

This should have been done ages ago. President Obama cares little for the rule of law in this country, and will do whatever it takes to push his agenda onto the American people. A president who isn’t bound by the law is more or less a monarch, and that type of governing is not permitted by the Constitution.

It’s encouraging to see the House stepping up and pursuing action to rein in the lawlessness of the Obama administration. Hopefully this will send a message to the president, reminding him he is a public servant, beholden to the same laws as the rest of us.
