Poverty in America — 22 States to cut off 1 Million people's Food Stamps

93.688 million chronically unemployed Americans have been dropped from the statistical data…if they are counted, as they should be….the unemployment rate is closer to 30%…and the world economy is in free fall…all because of greed and corruption. Things are worse than they are telling you….much worse.

22 states across the US are about to not renew a waiver to a rule that restricts how much assistance people can get in food stamps. The rule was originally put in place by President Bill Clinton, but has been waived since the economic crash in 2007. The rule is about to go back into effect for 22 states, which will leave about one million Americans without the assistance they've been relying on. The Resident discusses.

Then mass…we have to get people to grow food not lawns…victory gardens on every available lot or rooftop…we have the means but the government is putting up roadblocks and attempting to cull the population…so it is up to us to cull the government and put a better system into place.

Wake up people, they can pull 450 million out of their ass for "immigrants" and 400 million to "clean up" a con of a mess n Flint they caused so they can give that money to their cronies, but help actual Americans? The United Corporations of America doesn't give a shit about the people, just their greedy, greedy selves. I mean they pulled 16 trillion out of their asses to help the banks that knowingly committed fraud and crashed the economy and then kept the homes they stole to sell again. No one was jailed, nothing changed and they have renamed the con and are repeating it.

"House Republicans are laying the groundwork for a revision of the food-stamps program after its sharp expansion during the recession.
The effort kicks off Feb. 25 when the House Agriculture Committee holds the first of several hearings scheduled this year on food stamps, formally known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.
Committee Chairman Mike Conaway (R., Texas), who is leading the charge, said he wants to stay away from the type of party politics that can doom reforms before they are proposed. But as the son of a roughneck on oil rigs, he said he favors the kind of hard work that “built America,” suggesting any changes will lead to a smaller program and fewer recipients.
“A family that depends on their own work is more secure,” he said in an interview. “There’s a dignity in taking care of yourself.”
Some 46.5 million people—about 15% of the U.S. population—receive benefits, double the number from a decade ago. The costs, meanwhile, have nearly tripled in that time, going from $27 billion in fiscal year 2004 to $74 billion in 2016."

This is good. But its mostly bad. Since the great recession, people in Louisiana have been living in dire straits. 31,000 US home grown Americans have already lost their benefits after the first of the year. I believe there is a work program which byes them time. 
 

When the federal EBT food stamp system suffered a critical failure on Saturday, local retailers were disconnected from the federal food stamp database that keeps track of how much credit is left on each individual EBT card. Seizing the opportunity provided by the glitch, EBT card holders in Louisiana ransacked their local Wal-Mart stores, stuffing their shopping carts full of groceries and "paying" for them with near-empty EBT cards that essentially had unlimited account balances because all accounting was offline.
