Dark Winter Coming as Millions of Americans face Evictions in 2021 A new survey points out at least half of households in Arkansas, Florida and Nevada are not current on rent and mortgage payments – equating to 750,000 could face an eviction come early 2021. So all this commercial and residential property ends up being owned by whom? In any situation like this I try to find who benefits and therein lies the culprit…follow the money and find the masterminds ask yourselves who stands to gain from all this. The plan is for the Globalists have the Big Banks and government absorb the properties to make everyone renters. The Fed destroyed price discovery (which is a basic tenant of business) by “maintaining price stability”. History will laugh at the Fed’s pensive dilemma; price is a means to weed out the market, now the market doesn’t have a crop because of the overgrown weeds.
Worst decision in the history of economics lies on the Fed’s shoulders. A dark winter is descending on the working-poor of America as millions of adults face eviction or foreclosure in the next few months. Bloomberg, citing a survey that was conducted on Nov. 9 by the U.S. Census Bureau, shows 5.8 million adults face eviction or foreclosure come Jan. 1. That accounts for 32.5% of the 17.8 million adults currently behind rent or mortgage payments. On Dec. 31 many of the key provisions in the CARES Act are set to expire if there is no action from Congress. This could be catastrophic for 12 million Americans who will lose access to their Emergency unemployment benefits activated in the aftermath of the covid pandemic, which alone could be a drag of up to 1.5% to growth in 1Q, according to a recent Bank of America report. Unless there is emergency intervention, tens of millions of Americans could be facing eviction once the holiday season is over.
Just how likely is it that humanity will face an apocalyptic event? We break down the world’s biggest threats and what you can do to prepare.
If you had global pandemic, catastrophic bushfires, trans-atlantic dust storm, murder hornets, plagues of locusts, zombie cicadas and monkeys stealing vials of COVID blood on your bingo card, then you win.
But if the world was really reaching the end of days, is there anything we could do to stop the carnage? Can we really prepare for doomsday?
It’s a question we’ve been asking ourselves for a long time. In the 1950s, Bert the Turtle coached schoolchildren across the United States to Duck and Cover to avoid “the atomic bomb.” In more recent years, Bear Grylls taught ordinary suburbanites how to stay alive if they, too, should find themselves in the wild, by fossicking for edible bugs.
But with so many potential disasters facing us and so many ways to prepare for each one, where can the average person start? What choices can we make now that could really make a difference later?
Thankfully, before the murder hornets started rearing their heads and the global outbreak hit, I spent a good deal of time trying to answer that very question. For CNET’s recent documentary series Hacking the Apocalypse I travelled around the United States speaking to leading experts about how to escape the end of days. Just how real is the threat of Nuclear Winter? Will the world run out of water? Is the entire Pacific Northwest going to be carved off by a giant earthquake and tsunami?
In the spirit of “forewarned is forearmed,” let’s walk through the apocalyptic situations you could face — and how you can survive.
There are roughly 14,000 nuclear weapons in the world and 90% of them are in the hands of Russia and the US, according to atmospheric scientist and nuclear expert Professor Brian Toon. And even the smallest weapon in the US arsenal (100 kilotons) would cause catastrophic devastation if it was detonated over a major city. Everything in a six-mile diameter would catch on fire and be destroyed.
“If you get within a mile or so [of the blast], the pressure wave is so intense, it will blow down concrete buildings,” Toon told me. “And somewhere in that zone, there’s a blast of radiation from the bomb… basically half of the people exposed to that would die over a week or two from radiation burns on their skin and radiation poisoning.”
If you survive the initial impact, your troubles are far from over. These kinds of nuclear blasts generate city-wide fires that would push smoke into the stratosphere, blocking out the sun for 10 years and sending temperatures back to what Earth experienced during the last ice age.
The only way you survive in the immediate vicinity is to head underground. If you’re used to the finer things in life, you might head to a place like the Survival Condo in rural Kansas, which offers luxury apartments and features like a cinema, swimming pool and climbing wall, all 15 storeys underground — for $1 million a pop.
If that’s not your vibe and you’re further away from the impact zone, you could wait out Nuclear Winter in a prepping community, like Fortitude Ranch in West Virginia. It won’t protect you from a direct blast, but it’s ideal if you’re looking for strength in numbers to survive the long, cold years of a post-apocalyptic winter with no food. And its rural location places it far away from city-dwelling marauding hordes.
There’s also another solution — work to stop the bombs from dropping in the first place. Considering donating to organizations like the Nuclear Threat Initiative or the Ploughshares Fund that work towards global nuclear disarmament.
For the better part of a century, the threat of a devastating pandemic has been the stuff of history books or Hollywood science fiction. Until 2020 rolled around.
Now, we’ve all had a crash course in pandemic survival — from washing our hands thoroughly and wearing a mask, to social distancing and putting up with long lines at supermarkets. Oh, and did I mention the mask?
The fact is, most of us haven’t had time to rush out and get an epidemiology degree since the coronavirus began sweeping around the world, so we have to put our trust in experts trained in pandemic response. They’re the public health policymakers who have been walking through pandemic simulations for decades. They’re the front-line health care workers putting their lives on the line to look after us in our time of need. And they’re the scientists working overtime on developing a vaccine and new treatments that could help us develop immunity before we get sick.
As we’ve all learned, surviving a pandemic is a waiting game. But while you wait, we’ll say it again — wear that mask!
The Lost Book of Remedies is the revolutionary e-book which is suitable for one of the tools in survival kit because the creator of this program was mentioned lots of benefits about natural medicinal herbs and ingredients to make you feel safe, secure by protecting the health of yourself and dependents in any crisis. Even you can plant it in your backyard to grow effective medicinal herbs to save the life of anyone without wasting your money and time. This e-book will guide you on the right path to provide security, water, food, and all the medicines for securing your life or loved ones at all the time. This guide discussed the common plants that are grown in your backyard, but you don’t know the benefits of that plan which may help you to overcome any significant issues. Sometimes it may replace your antibiotic pills, reduce inflammations, stops bleeding, reverse arthritis, lowers cholesterol, regulates blood sugar level, defeats degenerative brain diseases and much more.
Certain survival skills and useful pieces of knowledge could be invaluable in the event of an apocalypse or other dangerous scenarios.
Your first aid kit and emergency gallons of water might get you through a snowstorm or power outage, but what would you do if the apocalypse hit?
Being prepared for the worst-case scenario is always a good idea, so INSIDER spoke to Professor Lewis Dartnell, senior editor of Astrobiology journal and author of “The Knowledge: How to Rebuild Civilization in the Aftermath of a Cataclysm,” to learn what everyday people should do to make it through a potential world-ending disaster.
Notably, Dartnell stressed that a global catastrophe or apocalypse is extremely unlikely to occur during our lifetimes. But just because a world-ending situation may not be looming doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have a crisis plan in place. These tips may be able to be applied to any dire situation in which you’re faced with limited resources.
Whether you’re looking to outlast the end days or just want to sharpen your survival skills, here are some tips to help you stay safe in the event of a major disaster.
In the event of an apocalyptic scenario, survivors will have to figure out how to feed themselves without commercial food products.
Although it might seem smart to start hoarding canned goods and water now, Dartnell advised that stockpiling isn’t really the wisest use of your time or money.
“I think it’s important to remember that you can stockpile all the canned food, bottled water, or other consumables that you like, but they will all run out, sooner or later,” he said.
What should you do instead? He said learning how to grow your own food and keeping a stash of seeds might be more helpful in the long term. Becoming self-sufficient now will definitely help in a post-grocery store world.
Dartnell advised that after any collapse of civilization, survivors would do well to get out of urban areas.
“Modern cities are incredibly artificial environments, and they simply don’t function without electricity, water, and gas being pumped into them. Where would you go to find a natural supply of clean water in your city, or a patch of fertile ground that hasn’t been smothered over with concrete or tarmac?” he said.
If you want the best chance of surviving the end of civilization, he advises that you get out of the city as soon as you can.
When the apocalypse strikes, it could be the perfect time to lace up your hiking boots and find a secluded spot in the countryside to set up camp.
“To start rebuilding, you’d be much better off finding a quiet rural location with fresh water, a nearby supply of timber, and arable land where you can start growing [food and trees],” advised Dartnell.
With fewer people around to compete for scarce resources like packaged food, water, and gasoline, relocating to a rural area might also help you avoid conflict with fellow survivors.
No matter what disaster scenario you’re faced with, ensuring a steady supply of clean and safe driving water is crucial. Luckily, there are a few easy ways to turn potentially contaminated water into potable water using things you already have in your house.
“You can chemically disinfect suspect water by using kitchen bleach or even swimming pool chlorine — just make sure you dilute it enough and that there aren’t any other additives like fungicides. Just a few drops of a 5% liquid bleach solution that has sodium hypochlorite listed as the main active ingredient will disinfect a liter of water in an hour,” Dartnell explained.
If you live in a sunny climate, Dartnell also said you can use a method called solar disinfection to create safe drinking water. All you need to do is pour any suspect water into a clear plastic bottle and leave it in the bright sunshine for a day or so.
“The ultraviolet rays in the sunlight will shine right through and kill any waterborne pathogens,” he added.
Of course, these filtration methods can come with risks, especially if not done properly, and they should only be used in emergency situations.
With the protection of modern medicine, it’s easy to forget just how dangerous a simple cut or scrape can be. Out that in a world without hospitals or antibiotics, avoiding infection would be one of your top priorities.
“You can prevent cuts and wounds from turning septic by disinfecting with alcohol, and if you’re able to scavenge any super glue it can be used to rapidly close a gash to prevent bacteria entering,” he told INSIDER.
Since many transmissible diseases are easily prevented by using soap, it might also be helpful to know how to make your own in the event of an apocalypse.
“Soap is easily made yourself by boiling animal fat with an alkali — such as potash extracted by trickling water through the ashes of a hardwood fire, or soda ash extracted from seaweed,” Dartnell explained.
Of course, none of this should be your go-to method for preventing infection, but this information could be useful in a situation in which you do not have access to standard medical supplies.
Do you know about the gift of nature to save the life of people from various health problems and make them feel secure by curing significant issues? How to live healthy in this world without having chronic diseases or illness or any other health issues which may hurt you physically and mentally? So the apocalypse arrived and the world as we know it has come to an end. What to do next?
Assuming you’re one of a handful of survivors, do you have what it takes to make it more than a couple of winters and maybe even sow the seeds for the rebirth of humanity?Something that we all wonder about… even in an un-conspiracy related scenario, what would you do during an emergency? During a natural disaster, major power outage, martial law, or a pandemic?
This is just a list of basic survival tips that we should all know.
Just a couple weeks ago, I came across another documentary on youtube from the History Channel that I found pretty informative, enlightening, and it really paints a great, detailed picture for you if you’re ever caught in the city when SHTF.
Tactics City Bug out Bag
For those just starting, this series starts at the beginning, focusing on skills necessary and then the series moves into gear and knowledge. SHTF – After Armageddon
Look around and notice the increased number of massive disasters that have struck the U.S. in recent years, going back to Hurricane Katrina in fact that devastated New Orleans. Then look globally to Fukushima and the Japanese in large numbers who were forced to evacuate on short notice due to the nuclear reactor meltdown.
Another good reason? The Cold War is back from the pages of history — and it’s back with a vengeance. The U.S. may finally find itself in a massive conflict with Russia in the coming years (if you’ve been watching the news recently you already know this).
Whatever the next disaster, are you prepared to evacuate on short notice? Or like a lot of people not prepared, are you ready to lose everything? A good Bug Out Bag can be a life saver in that regard.
One tactic that will make bugging out go quickly is having 80% of your gear (and food) already packed and just waiting in a closet in your home or your garage for that day when you’re going to need to evacuate with your gear, knowing you might be in a hurry.
When bugging out by a vehicle as your first means of escape, there are a number of other items that will come in necessary at different times, including fishing gear, hunting gear, and gear for self defense. Personal hygiene needs, communications equipment like a CB and two way radios …
Keep in mind that traveling will likely be an important aspect of surviving in a post apocalypse.
Gun stores will be raided as well (though not all of those raids are likely to end well). Hospitals and medical clinics will be next. As the days and weeks pass, and refugees and other survivors make their way for more remote suburbs and smaller towns, in a number of areas several places will serve as good places to get supplies and other resources — just depends on who is thinking that day, and realizes these places exist, and then gets there while there are still supplies to be had.
Defense Strategy and Capabilities .Conflicts and alliances around the globe are shifting constantly, enhancing the need for reliable and timely research and analysis. CSIS analyzes a wide range of issues related to defense strategy and capabilities.
Anything can happen in a land without laws or organized government.
What will happen when the state collapses? Will society descend into lawlessness, or can we seize the opportunity to let our human potential flourish?
Detailed tips on what it may take to survive in a land where crime and violence are rampant, stores have closed down, and the only food you have is either what you stored before hand, or what you can grow, find, or barter for.
A major disaster including a wave of homegrown terrorists with chemical bombs will make several regions dangerous places to live.
Your survival depends on your ability to create a fire easily and repeatedly. Those words are important. If it takes you a half hour to find kindling and combustibles, you don’t want to spend another cold and hungry half hour trying to bang rocks together to get a spark. That’s far too much time and energy wasted. However, matches or lighters will not be the solution either. During the apocalypse, you’ll need to create a fire nearly everyday to cook your food, sanitize drinking water and to warm your bones.
