Rumors of North Korea Missile Hit in Washington State After “Explosion” Registers as M2.6 Earthquake – UPDATE: USGS “DELETES EVENT” AFTER I REPORT IT!

(COVER-UP: USGS Deletes Event after I report it.  See UPDATES at Bottom of story) At 1:46 AM PACIFIC US Time on Monday, "something" caused the US Geological Survey to detect what initially APPEARED to be an earthquake 11 km west of Colfax, WA.

The USGS then modified its report to declare the incident was an "explosion" which took place at a "depth" of -0.4km . . . . a half kilometer ABOVE the ground!

Trouble is, no one is willing to say what, exactly, exploded.  Everything from the local, state, and federal level is 100% "hush hush."

Residents are quietly rumoring it was a missile impact from North Korea!

Normally, when the US Geological Survey detects a mining or Quary explosion, they describe it as such.  Not today.

This particular incident is simply being called "Explosion" on the USGS web site.  Look for yourself, HERE    (UPDATE: As of 9:00 PM EDT the USGS web site now tersely reports this "Event DELETED."   WOW.  It just went away . . .  no explanation . . . . just gone!  Except the image you see above for this story was a screen shot of the USGS map and Google Cache still shows the page with the event HERE)

A quick review of Google Earth shows pretty much . . . . NOTHING . . . in the area, which might account for Mining or Quary activity.  Here's an aerial view (from the past) of the exact area where USGS says today's "explosion" took place.

Looks like some type of small business nearby; the rest of the area is mostly undeveloped.  There are a few homes, but no vast industrial complex to account for such an explosion.

Making this even more bizarre, there's no media attention — AT ALL — about whatever took place up there.  Nothing.  Not a word.

Bigger Than WTC Collapse on 9-11

To give you an idea of just how large this M2.6 "explosion" would have been, back on 9-11-01, CNN reported the collapse of the World Trade Center towers registered as a M2.0 earthquake (HERE);  so the WTC collapse (a really big, noisy, noticeable thing)  was actually SMALLER than what took place this morning near Colfax, WA.

Why no news?  Why not a peep from locals?

I spoke to several folks via telephone who live several miles away, and they are hearing RUMORS — just RUMORS, no facts yet — that a Missile Struck the area.  The RUMORS go on to say it was a North Korean Missile, hitting the US as a warning, to show they can actually do it . . . . and maybe next time it will contain a nuke!

Others speculated that it was an actual attack, but the warhead may not have gone off properly!

THIS IS COMPLETELY UNSUBSTANTIATED RUMOR – AND I EMPHASIZE THAT FOR CLARITY.

So, if this was nothing, then what registered on the USGS seismic scales?  And if it was an "explosion" as the USGS reports, what exploded?

No one is saying . . . .

I wonder: Did we get attacked and no one is actually saying it because war is already started???????

According to the Seattle Times in an OLDER news story, North Korean Missiles could – in theory – reach . . . . this exact impact area:

Is this a case where we knew a missile was coming, maybe TRIED to shoot it down and failed?  Is this being concealed because we don't want the public to know our trillion dollar missile defense failed???  Again, I'm just thinking out loud; there is NO PROOF AT ALL of any missile . . . just some mysterious explosion . . . that no one will talk about.

California Is Already Preparing for a North Korean Nuclear Attack

According to this story in Foreign Policy Beware of radioactive pets, and don’t expect the feds to show up anytime soon.

Noting the heightened North Korean threat, the Los Angeles-area Joint Regional Intelligence Center issued a bulletin last month warning that a nuclear attack on Southern California would be “catastrophic” and urged officials in the region to shore up their nuclear attack response plans.

The report cites North Korea’s late July test of an intercontinental ballistic missile that could, in theory, reach the West Coast of the United States. “North Korea’s propaganda videos feature ruins of San Francisco and Washington,” the document says.

The 16-page “Nuclear Attack Response Considerations” bulletin is dated Aug. 16 and marked for “official use only.” It was circulated last month to Los Angeles-area local, state, and federal agency personnel and also throughout the Department of Homeland Security and other federal agencies across the country.

The idea behind the unclassified report was to share planning and guidance with as wide a distribution as possible, according to two officials involved in responding to a nuclear strike and who received the bulletin. Many agencies are involved in responding to an attack and are often staffed with personnel without access to classified information.

Hawaii Preparing for Nuke Attack

According to this story from KTLA-TV Channel 5, No matter how remote the chance, Hawaii is getting prepared, just in case.

State and military officials know there will be little time to react if North Korea does launch a nuclear warhead aimed at Hawaii. The state has been working on updating preparations for some seven months, long before the heightened rhetoric of this week.

“If North Korea uses an intercontinental ballistic missile, from launch to impact (in Hawaii) is approximately 20 minutes,” said Lt. Col. Charles Anthony, director of public affairs for the state’s Department of Defense.

“Pacific Command would take about fives minutes to characterize a launch, where the missile is going, which means the population would have about 15 minutes to take shelter,” said Vern Miyagi, administrator for Hawaii’s Emergency Management Agency. “It’s not much time at all. But it is enough time to give yourself a chance to survive.”

Hawaii is working on how to warn its 1.4 million residents.

Emergency management officials are working on reinstating an attack warning system similar to the air raid sirens that blared during the Cold War. Tests of that attack warning system haven’t happened since the 1980s.

WASHINGTON STATE LAW FORBIDS NUCLEAR ATTACK PREPARATIONS

According to this story in the Los Angeles Times,  ". . . the most perplexing news that [Washington] residents have encountered is that if worried citizens truly want their government to prepare for a possible nuclear attack, they can’t.

In Washington, that’s illegal.

The state Legislature, in part to symbolically mark the winding down of the Cold War, approved a bill in 1984 stating the Washington State Military Department (which oversees National Guard and emergency operations) shall “not include preparation for emergency evacuation or relocation of residents in anticipation of nuclear attack” in its planning. It was the lawmakers’ way of celebrating the nuclear threat was over.

It was a dusty, forgotten law until it appeared North Korea would take out parts of the Evergreen State.

Did North Korea actually TARGET Washington State because they know, as a matter of law, the state will not PREPARE for a nuke attack???????

This whole situation is really weird.  And worrisome.

UPDATE 9:00 PM EDT: The fact that USGS now reports "EVENT DELETED" is all the more reason to wonder exactly what the HELL is going on out there?  Something's up.  And someone didn't want any of us to know about it.  When my news site broke the story . . .  someone made the USGS report disappear.  This is even MORE worrisome!

UPDATE 9:27 PM EDT — Unbeknownst to me FOX 28 TV News in Spokane did a story on this three hours ago. They even sent a crew down to the area to find out what happened and nobody is talking to them.  They even report the USGS "confirmed it was an explosion."  Well, if the USGS confirmed it to FOX 28 TV news, why is the "event deleted" from the USGS web site???????  Here's the link to FOX 28 TV in Spokane!

UPDATE 9:56 PM EDT :

UPDATE : North Korea – 12 July 2017 Earthquake or 6th Nuclear Test – YouTube

Based upon a special formula for converting seismic energy signatures into explosive yield values, I can tell you the yield of the device as follows:

Yield in TNT = 10^((mb – 4.262) / 0.973))

Therefore TNT yield = 10^((2.6 – 4.262) / 0.973))

TNT = 0.01958307 kilotons, or

19.58307 Tons of TNT.

Please note that the yield of the MOAB bomb = 11 Ton of TNT, by comparison.

Recall that the event was 400 metres below ground (1312 feet). There are also some mines located off to the east.

I suspect that it was a secret test by the US of an explosive device, to test its effects on ground disruption. I think that the US is preparing itself to strike certain underground facilities in North Korea with deep ground penetration devices, and they are seeking to determine how successful they might be at hitting underground bases at a depth of some 1300 feet, and effectively destroying them.

An analysis of the Earthquake / Seismic event to the East of North Korea. Was it a natural earthquake or some sort of Nuclear Weapons Test? The evidence I present here appears to decisively confirm that the earthquake was not natural. It was likely triggered by a scalar beam weapons system.
